Heal for Real™
A Skills-Based Course for Emotional Healing, Nervous System Regulation, and a Life That Actually Feels Good
Heal for Real is a practical, embodied healing course designed for people who are tired of intellectualizing their pain and ready to live differently. This course integrates mindfulness, emotional regulation, relationship skills, distress tolerance, and emotional literacy to help you create real change, internally and externally.
Whether you’re healing from burnout, relational trauma, emotional overwhelm, or years of putting yourself last, Heal for Real gives you tools that work in real life, not just in theory.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a skills-based behavioral therapy focused on creating real, sustainable change through practice—not insight alone. DBT teaches practical tools in mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance, allowing individuals to respond to life with greater clarity, stability, and self-trust.
As these skills are learned, practiced, and integrated into daily life, behavior change occurs naturally and reliably. DBT skills build emotional resilience, improve communication, strengthen relationships, and support present-moment awareness—making them especially effective for people navigating stress, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, or life transitions.
DBT-informed skills are widely used in modern therapy, coaching, and integrative healing practices across major cities like New York City, Miami, Austin, Los Angeles, and Chicago, as well as through virtual programs nationwide. Whether practiced in person or online, DBT offers a practical, empowering framework for building a life that feels more grounded, balanced, and intentional.
Only $997Module 1: Mindfulness
Learning to Live Where You Actually Are
Mindfulness is the foundation of healing. It is the practice of orienting yourself to the present moment, without rejecting it, bypassing it, or trying to escape it.
There are three core goals of mindfulness taught in Heal for Real:
-
To reduce suffering and increase genuine happiness
-
To increase conscious control of your mind
-
To experience reality as it actually is, not as fear or fantasy distorts it
Mindfulness teaches you to slow down, take up space, and stay present with yourself and others. You learn how to engage with life intimately rather than dissociating, numbing, or living in mental overdrive.
In this module, you’ll learn that everything can be valid, your experience, your emotions, and the process you’re in, even when your thoughts are not objectively true. Approaching yourself from validity rather than self-attack allows you to stay present long enough to heal.
You’ll practice:
-
Living with intentional awareness
-
Participating fully in your life instead of observing from the sidelines
-
Choosing how you show up, without judgment or rejection of the moment
You’ll also learn Wise Mind, “what” skills, “how” skills, and perspective-shifting tools that help you respond instead of react.
This is not about being calm all the time.
It’s about being here, on purpose.
Module 2: Interpersonal Effectiveness
Relationships Without Losing Yourself
Humans are wired for connection. Community, intimacy, teamwork, and mutual support are some of the most stabilizing and nourishing forces in life.
When we lack healthy connection, we don’t just feel lonely, we experience shame, anxiety, alienation, and a deep sense of not belonging.
So let’s be clear:
You belong.
You are welcome.
You matter.
This module teaches you how to experience that truth in your relationships, not just believe it intellectually.
You’ll learn how to:
-
Feel safer and more grounded in relationships
-
Ask for what you want without guilt or fear
-
Identify what you actually need
-
Understand that “no” is a complete sentence
-
Use your “no” skillfully while respecting yourself and others
-
Navigate conflict without abandoning yourself
-
Accept change, both in yourself and in others
You’ll also learn how to recognize when a relationship has become destructive or misaligned, and how to leave with love instead of chaos or self-betrayal.
Skillful intimacy includes knowing when to stay, and when to go.
Module 3: Emotion Regulation
Ending the War With Your Feelings
For many people, emotions feel like the problem to be solved.
When feelings are intense, painful, or overwhelming, behaviors often become coping strategies, ways to escape, numb, control, or override emotional pain.
Heal for Real teaches you a different path.
Emotion regulation begins with mindfulness: observing and describing your emotions without judgment. Much emotional suffering comes not from the emotion itself, but from secondary reactions, shame about sadness, anxiety about anger, or fear of grief.
Often, primary emotions are appropriate and adaptive. Healing happens when you learn to experience them without self-attack.
In this module, you’ll learn skills across four core areas:
-
Understanding and naming emotions
-
Changing unwanted emotional states
-
Reducing vulnerability to emotional overwhelm
-
Managing extreme emotional intensity
You’ll practice:
-
Checking the facts
-
Problem-solving instead of spiraling
-
Taking opposite action when emotions drive unhelpful behavior
-
Building emotional resilience through body care, mastery, and preparation
The goal is not to eliminate emotions.
The goal is to reduce emotional suffering.
With enough practice, emotional regulation becomes automatic, you stop white-knuckling your feelings and start trusting yourself with them.
Module 4: Distress Tolerance
Surviving Hard Moments Without Making Them Worse
Distress tolerance skills help you survive crises without creating new ones.
These skills are essential when:
-
You cannot immediately change a situation
-
You don’t yet know what you want or need
-
Your emotions feel too intense to problem-solve
This module teaches you how to:
-
Get through painful moments without impulsive behaviors
-
Accept reality as it is, when fighting it only increases suffering
-
Stop living as if every moment is a crisis
You’ll learn the difference between pain and suffering:
Pain + non-acceptance = suffering and stuckness
Pain + acceptance = tolerable pain and forward movement
Radical acceptance doesn’t mean liking reality.
It means stopping the internal war with it.
Over time, these skills lead to true freedom, the ability to face cravings, urges, and discomfort without being controlled by them.
Freedom is not the absence of difficulty.
It’s peace in the presence of it.
Bonus Module: Emotions
Becoming Emotionally Literate as an Adult
Many people were never taught how to understand, feel, or work with emotions growing up.
So they learned to avoid them.
This module addresses the fear that emotions are:
-
Too overwhelming
-
Too dangerous
-
Too much for you or others to handle
You’ll learn how to experience the full range of emotion, without breaking apart, losing control, or being abandoned.
You’ll explore:
-
Emotional avoidance patterns
-
The link between unprocessed emotion and self-sabotaging behavior
-
How to feel without collapsing
We focus deeply on seven emotions most associated with destructive coping:
guilt, shame, helplessness, anxiety, disappointment, confusion, and loneliness
By learning to acknowledge, experience, understand, and follow these emotions, you stop using behaviors to regulate them.
You’ll learn how to:
-
Say “no” without apology
-
Become appropriately selfish
-
Grieve losses fully
-
Celebrate joy without guilt
-
Stop over-functioning for others
-
Nourish yourself, emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually
Healing your relationship with emotions is how you heal your life.
And yes, this can be learned as an adult.
